The mission of Growth Psychology is to apply best practices in psychology (CBT, DBT, ACT) and neuroscience in a supportive and empowering manner. In therapy, participants will examine perspective and behavior to increase engagement in actions that allow them to reach their goals and live to their fullest potential.

Changes in behavior and perspective that take place in individual therapy may need the support of caring adults in order to foster and support change outside of therapy. For this reason, Growth Psychology also offers family therapy sessions, as well as consultation to help individuals and families advocate for support within school settings.

Health and safety are paramount to Growth Psychology. In alignment with public health guidelines, individuals can engage in therapy in-person at the San Francisco office, or participate via online video tele-therapy.

What To Expect

Dr. Cole will have a brief phone call with interested prospective clients (ages 8+) or their parents/guardians, and then schedule an initial consultation. The initial consultation session is 60 minutes. During this consultation, we will explore areas of strength and growth and determine what you would like to achieve in therapy. At the end of this session, we will decide whether we are a good fit to continue working together in therapy. On-going individual, family, and consultation sessions generally take place once a week and last for 45 minutes a session.
